The value of a player is determined by a range of factors

including their wages, the remaining time on the contract, and the amount of interest in the player.

The idea that Norwich would choose to sell a player for less money than they otherwise could get is clearly absurd.

Ultimately a player is only worth what someone else will pay, and if they don't pay then it means that they are worthless come the end of the contract.
