Official matchday Programme from my first ever NCFC game arrived this morning

My Dad took me natch together with a mate of mine. City lost 1-0 to a Malcolm MacDonald goal. I is well old innit granddad.

Programme cost 7 pence and has a lovely pic of big Duncan Forbes kissing the 2nd Division Champions Trophy on the front of the prog. The programme is a bumper 16 page issue on account of a two page special on City's forthcoming League Cup Final with Spurs having disposed of Arsenal and Chelsea along the way.

In Ron Saunder's notes, he welcomes new boys Colin Sugget and Trevor Hockey and the club bid a fond farewell to Jimmy Bone who goes to Sheffield United. A young Chris Sutton makes one appearance in the Anglian Combination league.

Wembley fever is rife as well with a one paragraph advert in the Supporters' Notes section for "fan favours" for the big day such as; Plastic Caps at 15p, Bar Scarves at 70p, Special Wembley Scarves (Satin) at 50p, special Wembley Rosette 20p, and last but not least a bobble Hat (cannot be missed at Wembley) at 45p (postage 5p extra).

It's a beautiful thing that brings back so many memories and it only cost me 2.99 and I'm going to frame the bugger and put it on the wall. On the ball city.
