Snake Cam Day 1: 3 things I learned

About 4 years ago had a positive eyes-on of a Grass Snake circumventing our garden pond and have had zero episodes ever since. Recently restocked the pond with some fish as the Heron had robbed all my lovely Koi, so the pond has been suffering from neglect until recently when I've cleaned it all up and popped the pump back on and it's rejuvenated now so bunged some new fishes in. Yesterday I set up an OP and was on fishwatch when I spied some weird scattage. Upon closer inspection it was bright red and packed with seeds, little bit of googlerisiing and voila! Grasssnake; he is alive. So set up an IR camera last night and this is what I learned.

1. Got my lines of sight all wrong so missed any Snakular activity.
2. Pigeons set the camera off 3x so confirmation that all is working ok despite the green set-up light not functioning (cheap chinese s**t).
3. Pigeons landing on it confirm that must use securing strap as per SOPs in the manual and not just place it free standing.
