Packing the squad with 18 - 20 year olds from outside the UK isn't the way forward.

Investing in youth is good but it needs to be a balanced approach.

I think we've actually done alright in that regard of late (Maddison, Thompson, that Icelandic kid). We've just bought poorly when we have dropped some cash on senior players.

It's very easy to look back in hindsight and state that a different strategy would have worked better! Impossible to prove though.
