Truth is, there's long been an agenda of wanting a 'bonfire of regulations'

That there's too many examples of 'health and safety gone mad'.

Well, things like fire regulations for people who live in tower blocks are the reasons you *need* regulations, and health and safety rules *and enforcement*.

No doubt there'll briefly be an outcry. And then it'll die down, and the right will quietly but quickly get back to trying to dismantle regulations wherever they can.
