editors and presenters should probably, but sometimes don't take.

In the immediate aftermath of the Cumbria mass shooting a few years ago they had an eyewitness guy live on Five Live telling his story about how he'd been first on the scene where one of the victims had been shot, and he started going on about seeing brain on the pavement where the victim had been so badly injured, and you could hear the note of obvious distress in his voice, and how this poor c**t was basically in shock himself having seen just terrible things, and they put this poor bastard on live national radio in the middle of the afternoon.
