Showed early promise but suffered some disastrous results due to significant structural weaknesses and was relegated from the top flight of airliners. Once the issues were identifified and rectified, however, it went on to become a fine airframe that is still flying today.

(obviously the last bit is yet to be proven for us, but we can but hope...)
