is to make damned sure that he gets that first as that will unlock so many doors and make up for other blemishes on his CV (eg it'll be difficult to crack City firms from Trent as I assuming not stellar A-Levels)
If he isn't already, he needs to be living in that law library from now until his exams are done.
As long as he doesnt want sugar-coated advice feel free to pass on my details. A *lot* has changed since I went through the meat-grinder that is training contract applications but some will hold true still, and I've now seen many many differents routes into law that he might not have considered.
