I was planning on twisting thru a bit of barbed wire to really chomp stuff up

but it burned itself out afore I could run that experiment.

Having mused on it, I'm very comfortable with letting nettles and straggly grass stuff flourish in the perimeters, as bees and wee creatures love all that and I cannot be strimmering even with a quality machine, its an absolute fools errand and I'm not exactly going for Chelsea Flower Show standards of groundskeeping.
