This formation is another one to try.
The 4-3-3 system - that is four defenders, three more defenders playing as midfielders and three attackers - allows you to have three attackers as well as having no midfielders. Remarkable!
PICK YOUR OWN FORMATION
To see how Norwich might line up with 4-3-3, put eleven pieces of paper in a hat.
Write the names of any Norwich player on each of the pieces of paper.
When you have got 11, mix them all up in your hand, and scatter them all over the pitch. That is where they will play for that match.
To tinker with your own team's formation, simply blow some of the bits of paper into other places on the pitch.
The three midfielders will normally run about like headless chickens, doing their best to avoid the ball, and, when they have it, attempting to use it as a missile to knock Steve Fossett from the sky.
The three strikers will need neck braces to protect them from these balls-a cry of "incoming!" is usually sufficient, this will cause them to get in each others way and trip up and out of danger.
Usually you would have a central attacker with one each side of him. Unless you are the Norwich manager. Then you will have a 5' 4" player playing as the "big man" with two players either side of him whose sole duty is to cause "mayhem" in the box.
The 4-3-3 does not actually differ that much from any other Norwich formation.
