Yes he's a bit of a liability I agree

Hence why he shouldn't really be in any of the top jobs and the decision to make him foreign secretary was very strange. Had he won the leadership election it would have been disastrous but then none of the candidates were great and may has turned out to lack the substance I think that many thought she had. We were perhaps sucked in by comparisons with Margaret Thatcher but its clear she's no Thatcher and whatever your views on Thatcher are/were I don't think anyone can dispute that she was a formidable leader and player on the international scene.

That said he's not thick, he just makes gaffes.
