Wrong way round - Daesh are IS (or ISIL), not Al Qaeda. It's an acronym of ISIL, but in Arabic. (And is quite widely used in Arabic because it's close linguistically to a couple of Arabic insults. Hence why ISIL / Daesh don't like it and punish people they catch using it.
Not Al Qaeda.
