she's bought the media off by confirming plans to drop Leveson 2

and repealing article 40 (media companies would have to pay costs even if they won libel battles)

they are also promising to "create a level playing-field" for "high-quality media online" - which i guess means they're going after BBC Online as Murdoch's paywalls have failed
