How long will we have the squad though?

Still a lot of cost-cutting to come yet. After next season we'll be down towards Ipswich levels of footballing budget (let's not forget Evans has to subsidise them to spend what they do), based on lower division players and loans.
If you can get someone prepared to look short-term for one season only, fine. But even then Sheffield Wednesday must be at least as attractive as us - finished above us this season and have an owner who has displayed a willingness to spend big style on the playing squad.
