Its not a bad record but its hard to put it into context without knowing

how good the teams he's managed were when he took over and where they would expect to finish in their respective leagues.

Union berlin appear to be something of a project club (a real "fans club" as it were and not our imitation version) and I think this will be the highest they've ever finished so i'm sure he's half decent but I would guess his spell at Shalke is probably a better indication of his abilities and I don't know if his result there were better or worse than average over his whole spell there?
