And of course it all depends on the money on offer. We certainly should not be considering anything south of £8m based on other recent comparables and probably should be getting in excess of £10m.
I've said on here before how I feel he has too many games where he goes missing and that I don't think we've always rally struggled to work out his role in the side so I don't see him as a player that is irreplaceable or indeed couldn't perhaps be replaced by a player who adds better balance to the team.
That said I think selling now and certainly selling on the cheap and/or to a divisional rival would send out a terrible message and have a detrimental impact on morale amongst the fans and he is a good player so I would very much prefer to keep him as hopefully a decent manager/coach can get more consistency out of him.
