Mind you it might be a lose/lose question. Refuse to answer and it becomes like Farron and his "is homosexuality a sin?" issue. Come out against it and there will be someone who could dig out a prior pro hunting statement. Come out for it and she upsets the anti-hunt brigade.
At least she's (seemingly) being honest.
I doubt (m)any swing voters will change their minds over it given the much bigger issues in play, and I bet she'd rather have the focus on her hunting stance than her other policies/lack of them.
