Train, less than quarter of an hour to Liv St. S'what I do if I can't bike for any reason

Is much more civilised than getting a tube, actually. You get a seat and everything, even in rush hour.

Also loads and loads of buses. Though I suspect you probably haven't got one of those for a decade or two.
