To be fair aside from Mulumbu and Lafferty the've all made significant contributions

to the club and should not be regarded as failures as they were kept on too long.

Whitaker made a good contribution to our previous promotion. Ruddy, Bennett, Turner and Bassong have all played well for us for periods at premier league level and been part of promotion winning squads. That lot can leave with this heads high even though their most recent spells for us have not been the best. I still think had we been managed competently that Ruddy, Bassong and Bennett could have been decent for us this season but we weren't an its now time for everyone to move on and start afresh.
