Faith schools

Originally set up to 'serve the poor of the local community' - many now serve the parents who are motivated enough to attend church weekly but are not quite rich enough to afford private school. Church of England turns a blind eye, in my opinion, because it means bums on seats and money in collection boxes. Have had this debate with several high up people in dioceses - but they deny that and see it as an opportunity to try and convert.

We have had people in my area who not only attend the church but help to run the sunday school and then are never seen again once their child has secured a place in a Secondary school.

System is all wrong sadly in many many areas.
