For me it's never been about the winning or losing, obviously it helps, but the games i get the most enjoyment out of are the games where i feel we've made a difference from the stands.
Aston Villa at home this season, we made the difference in the second half. There was no atmospherre first half, but Second half we started singing and it drove the players on. Villa got stronger as the game went on and pressed for an equaliser, but the players had the backing of the fans and put in the effort, in the same way the fans were. They dug deep because they knew we were there behing them fighting the cause with them.
It won't always be the case, of course, that supporting the team will grind out wins, but it certainly helps, and better players will want to come/stay here if the atmosphere isn't like a morgue too.
It's the Identity thing that Webber also touched on. We need to get our own, a mentality, that we're not just fighting for 3 points, but for the shirt, the badge, the colours, the city as a whole.
