Has the art of long ball tactics died?

You know, the traditional Wimbledon style hoooooof stuff. Now almost everyone thinks "oh we must cram the midfield and play 1 poor bloke alone up front because barca do it" when what is really needed in this division is a good old 4-4-2 lump it up and get it wide.
