Small rural school previously supplying 25 meals now has to provide 50. No kitchen or staff. Secondary school up the road that previously supplied meals now has to do the same for another 10 schools. Does not have the capacity or needs massive capital and staffing investment. Or... Small primary school has to have a kitchen built and staff privided. Universal school meals (for infants and younger primary children) nearly sank many schools. The costing was based on the price of the meal alone which does not nearly cover the costs. This will be worse...
