I remember reading that Hastings account in the book and realising how little I knew about the actual battle considering how much it was mentioned at school.

I love all this stuff about ancient battles and tactics on the history channel. I wish they'd do more of it instead of all that airtime dedicated to fiction-fantasies about Bigfoot
