My favourite O'Neil story was when we sold him to Middlesbrough

Can't remember who the manager was (Rioch?) But (according to the story) but him through an incredibly intensive training session only to tell him at the end he'd been sold. Punchline something like "i wanted to see you do at least one day's hard work in your life".
