Not really. Attacker is allegedly an islamic fanatic who has preached about

killing the police.

To be honest not much you can do to stop a nutter getting hold of a car and a knife and causing damage/injury if they really want to. we are just going to have to live with this type of incident for the foreseeable future. Its shocking and tragic but take away the shock factor and its quite small scale and the police dealt with it very quickly.
