One of the things I think really differentiates Norwich supporters is that they tend to be 'lifers'. OK, there'll be the odd glory hunter but fundamentally most of the people who express an opinion here, on the terraces, on the radio, have actually followed the club through thick and thin (even the youngsters!) I travelled to the match on Sunday with someone who's been supporting the team since the 1950's; we listened to the Canary Call caller who talked about youth team products right back to the John Bond days. For the most part, we're not Johnny come Latelys having a go for the sake of it; sometimes our expression might be less than articulate or erudite; but it's because we really care about the club and what's happening to it. And however you care to dress it up, for some time now we've failed to play good football; we've spunked cash on players who are not proud to wear the yellow, and since promotion our record has been abysmal. If the premiership season can be deemed a success, I'd hate to see a failure. As has been said on more than one occasion, this isn't personal, it's just a desire to see something innovative and positive. I don't know how protests will work, but let's remove the idea that it's a minority - even the River End crowd were heated on Sunday!
OK, moronic rant over.
