Watching the games, and CH's behaviour on the sidelines, I felt that the players were trying to do the first bit, but weren't even trying to do the second. So many times I saw Snodgrass run forward with the ball then stop about two thirds of the way up the pitch, and turn back. CH would be shouting and waving them forward, but he couldn't get them to do it, and tbf that's his responsibility. But to characterise it as his "style" is wrong.
