Did you have any grief getting them printed? ie copyrights

I tried to get a load of 1950's and 60's postcard type arts printed off a while ago and the lady wanted proof I created/owned the imagery.

I came up with a cock and bull story which she disbelieved, later found the Polish printer on Magdalene would do it without question but wanted silly money.
