They are poisoning their legacy and outliving their welcome.
If they sell up and walk away now then they can do so with respect, appreciation and a tidy profit for their hard work and financial gamble.
They've never had the balls or ruthlessness to do the right thing. Without McNally we're heading towards another bleak Doncaster type decade.
