Player Ratings yesterday

Green - 8. Made some great saves to keep Ipswich at bay and can not be faulted for their goals
Fleming - 6. Played reasonably well and linked up well with Hughes in 1st half. Still question why he is forced to play there when we bought in 2 right-backs in the summer.
Rehman - 7. Thought he had a superb debut at centre back. Strong in tackle and composed on the ball.
Doherty - 5. A forgettable day for Doc. Mad some simple errors.
Drury - 5. Where has the confident player of two years ago gone, that no right-winger got past? Currie got the better of him too much.
Hughes - 6. Thought he linked up quite well before he was taken off, despite some wayward passes. Would have preferred him with his passion to Robinson maybe.
Etuhu - 4. Have seen no reason why he is a professional footballer yet. He doesnt tackle, he doesnt pass, he doesnt break up play, he doesnt win second balls, he doesnt head. Awful.
Safri -6. Not his most effective afternoon but still our best midfielder. Set up the goal although at times didnt cover defence well enough.
McVeigh - 5. Quiet and fairly ineffective, especially when moved to right-wing. Not WLY's day.
Earnshaw - 5. Quite debut but worried he will not get the service he deserves at Norwich. Never stopped running to be fair.
Johansson - 7. Started quietly but got more in the game. Seems a fairly intelligent striker, a little bit in Svensson mould. Unlucky not have scored 2 or 3 really.

Subs - Huckerby - 5. Never seen Hucks have a quieter game
Robinson - 5. Didnt really do the job asked of him in sitting in front of the back 4.
Shackell - 6. Defended as best he could - didnt really notice him to be honest! (was too pissed off)
