'cos it's not the cost of replacing their car but the other poor sod they might crash into

also be careful with the named driver business and be very clear about what you are telling the insurance company.

My uncle got into bother over this - his son bent the car round a tree, paralysed his best mate for life, and the insurance co are taking my uncle to court for £3m for insurance fraud (I think he told them he was the owner and/or main driver, when he obviously wasn't)

So just an example of why it is important to be scrupulously honest about what you tell the insurance co.
