i think perhaps he/we got promoted too soon

hindsight is a useless thing despite what folks say

obvs i wouldn't trade the play-offs for the world but i think getting promoted so soon harmed him for a while, he didn't have the experience and tools to cope at the end of the day. the premier league riches raised fans expectations that we'd piss this league and when we went on a bad run things got quite toxic, but not terminal enough for delia to push the button.

credit to the wee feller for staying the course and not suffering the proverbial slings and arrows. it was good work shifting out brady and olsson perhaps a little late but the upturn in fortunes may be no coincidence that the want aways got their wish. moxey's arrival/departure and the bits inbetween are quite the strange aspect and there seems no rush to appoint a successor.
