that's not really the point

the fact is he will be 35 next season and, even if he's not in a sharp decline yet, he won't be getting any better. And he's not been good enough this season to get us up. Plus he can't play consecutive games comfortably nowdays.

Pritchard is already at a similar level to Wes - even if you could argue he's not quite there yet. But he has real potential to improve and become a better player than Wes has ever been imo, as he plays more games and gets used to the other players in the squad. The end of this season, when promotion is unlikely so there's not a whole lot to lose, seems the ideal time to be giving him game time. Rather than sticking with an aging player on the wane.
