We were shocking. No passion, no inventiveness, no desire to get things going and take the game to them.
And that's just the fans.
Green was ok.
Was impressed with Rehman and Johansson. Earnie didn't do a lot but didn't look match fit to me.
First half, I thought the midfield three sat far too deep and gave their midfield far too much time and space. Hence they looked threatening. Etuhu and Hughes are covered elsewhere.
I agreed with the half time substitutions, hell I think if anyone on here had picked a team to play Ipswich, the team that started the second half would have been the choice for most. And at 442 to boot. But it just didn't click.
Doherty seems to have turned back into last year's Doc, or Malky from any number of seasons today. Safri had his poorest game in a Norwich shirt, yet I notice that he hasn't had the same crap for giving the ball away twice and badly played quick freekicks (one of which the ref let us have again). Hucks got taken out early by Wilnis (why that was never a booking I'll never know) and didn't look interested from there. McVeigh was, as we all know, less effective on the right wing.
All in all, they wanted it more than us.
A few further passing comments - aside from the two pens, I thought the ref was poor.
For that little t**t Haynes to go down like he'd been nuked, let alone shot, then to go sprinting over to their fans after he'd volleyballed the ball in, then limp off (ref, if you'd been in control you'd have booked him at the point) then to sprint back at the whistle REALLY wound me up, more than the score.
And I know someone who sits behind the dugout. The management are forever screaming at the midfield to push up, and for the defence to get it on the deck and not hoof it, and for the fullbacks to get wide and look for an early ball. The players just don't do it.
