I don't believe him and it's something that can never be proven

Why mention it at all? Pure spin to try and get people renewing in light of recent events.

I'm not convinced there is even a waiting list given how quickly people I know have been able to get season tickets in the last year. One thing I do know though if there is such a waiting list is they are losing some longstanding and loyal fans and (with a few exceptions) replacing them with people who do not have the same longstanding emotional tie to the club.
