Seems obvious to me*

*which probably means I'm wrong

But he joined on the not unreasonable expectation that we'd be challenging for promotion and it was hus ticket to an EPL gig.

Finds out he can't sack the manager because (a) Delia doesn't want to (b) there's that stupid new contract

Gets floored the same we did by this 10yr manager community club bulls**t.

Sees his immediate future not in the EPL, but as a CEO of yet another financially struggling mid table championship club

Has to go on TV to defend a manager he (I would bet) wanted to sack and a vision he doesn't share (that video says it all - his body language, his eyes, the disinterested tone - he didnt believe in anything he was saying. he knew he was off)

Has stuck around long enough to do some decent transfer business to prop up his CV but has bailed out at the first real opportunity.

Two very able CEOs and a chairnan have now resigned on Delia's watch in a short space of time.

We have reached our glass ceiling.
