No, they're not. They're a nation made up of individuals, like any other. They've

produced fantastic scientists, composers, authors ...
But there is a tendency to arrogance running through the national character - which exists, as it does for Italians, French, Russians, ourselves, Americans etc. etc.
So collectively I'm wary.
