Well...They will just get a visa

They won't suddenly deport loads of people. Worst case they will be offered to apply for a visa that costs a bit. If they don't pay, then they will have to leave. That's what I reckon anyways. Deduct it as a small tax over next three years or whatever so people don't need to pay up front.

Given it will have cost about £2,500 to get my wife of 15 years and mother of my children allowed to stay here with me, I have no issue with it.

I appreciate every situation is different tho.
