No guarantee they'll stay that way

History is full of teams who were consistent for part, or parts, of a season (look at Derby two years ago for instance). They've been more consistent than us so far (hence them being above us in the table) but if that meant they were bound to be for the rest of the season you could stop the league at this point every year because nobody's position would ever change.
We have to be more consistent than them over the rest of the season. We can't affect their consistency, but we can affect our own. The more consistent we are the better chance we'll be more consistent than them.
