Difference though between what we did and "really" pursuing a target

I accept that we may still have lost out but my point really is that as a promoted club or relatively recently established prem club you should be going for the pick of the youngish players in the championship yet we were trying to sign players from Lazio, Sampdoria, Ajaz etc for who we are hardly likely to be an attractive proposition.
