history, in terms of achievements.

That wasn't the point I was making though. Rather than Hughton's premier league season was as good, if not more impressive than Lambert's premier league season. Because Lambert had all the momentum and they were all his players who he knew inside out. Holt had a season that he couldn't realistically repeat.

Hughton had all that against him, and basically rebuilt the squad, setting it up as a solid defensive unit who kept clean sheets against the best teams in the country. And took us to our highest finish in decades. As standalone seasons, I think that probably edges out Lambert's premier league one for me in terms of achievement.
