I don't see Neil and Hughton as the same

Hughton was tactically very good and could organise a team. He seemed to have a long term vision and was building the club as a whole. The breaks were put on slightly by a couple of poor signings that left us short of strikers - but, like you said, he was a career manager, and exactly the kind that you should stick with through the odd setback or spell of unattractive football. He was also a real ambassador for the club, and the kind of manager who would be respected by players - current and also potential signings.

To me, Neil doesn't seem to have any kind of coherent vision. He can't organise the defence, his signings seem to follow no plan and he blames everyone and anything else when things go wrong. I think Neil, rather than being a career manager, is much more of an impact manager. The kind that comes in shouting and giving everyone a kick up the arse, but who, in the long term, is found lacking in both tactics and man management.
