but it's the kind of damage that could be undone pretty quickly, with a decent successor being appointed sometime in the future. If Neil was sacked at the end of this season, we appointed a decent manager and were in the mix for promotion next season - the interview with the Times and all the animosity towards the board would be largely forgotten I think.

Savagely turning on the board - when Delia has made it clear she envisages the club being in her family for a long, long time - is something that would have far greater repercussions in the longer term. A board with no intention to sell, that is in open conflict with the fans is a recipe for disaster for any club.
