they just seem to have a real conviction that they are making the right decision by backing Neil.
If the crowd all start lauding Lambert, the board may even strengthen their views. They could take it as confirmation that the fans don't know the details and are not informed to make decisions, e.g. how difficuilt Lambert was to work with.
I fear the only way to really pressure the board is a long and concerted campaign against the board themselves. But there doesn't seem to be much appetite amongst the fans for that. And it could do untold damage to the club, without actually resolving anything.
