Back from the game; Concentrate on the League then...

A very cautious line up, strong enough but limited options in attack. I assume plan was to sneak it on the break. However, once game got going we looked comfortable enough in the containment department, but offered little going forward. Laffs worked hard, huffed and puffed, but had limited support.

We could have changed it and forced the game, Soton were never going to give it their all with their other interests. Typical last minute goal conceded (remember the paint pot trophy one that took it to penalties there?!)

Good to see Godfrey and Grant getting some experience and game time... both look like good prospects (having seen Grant for the U23s he could be better than his dad 😉)

... and so "we go again" to use that weary old phrase.

U23s away to Pompey next Monday anyone? I'll be representing the Wrath.
