I think the extra frustration is due to a number of factors

For me its a combination of:

1. The general state of football and/or football finances which I think has left most fans feeling less engaged with their clubs and players;

2. Probably my stage in life, small children mean that my football experience has changed a bit from when I was going 10 years ago when I was pretty much permanently wasted and up for it; and

3. And this is the biggest one - that this decline is self inflicted and they won't do anything to address it and in fact given point 1 their stance (and refusal to accept the reality of modern football) seems likely to accelerate our decline and threaten our ability to compete. Yes we were much sh*tter under Roeder and Gunn but we had no money, we had no good players and it was a situation that the board had in the main part inherited. I went to pretty much every game in that period and whilst I got frustrated at times it was not like now because I knew we were rubbish. Now I just feel we are chucking it all away and that I find much harder to forgive than simply being rubbish. Its not just about losing a few games or even being mid table in the championship - we've been there and done that and we can live with it.
