I used to do that on Championship Manager 93!

My favourite trick involved selling Jason Minett to Blackburn for ?3.5m, then fining Shearer every week until he moved to Norfolk for ?1.2m. Then buying Gerhard Rodax for them and doing the same thing.

On really extravagant days I'd add Man Utd and Arsenal, and sell them Mark Walton or Lee Power for ridiculous sums. Not Liverpool, though - they couldn't buy anyone because Souness had filled their squad with s**t players.
