It's been ok the last few years with some decent games. This year it's been dire because the draws have been dire.

However the general issues with the FA Cup are around the competition it faces from Premier League etc - which the World Cup doesn't suffer from in quite the same way.

No team will go in to the World Cup meeding to win more matches. More knockout football, more drama, less meaningless games.
