Remember that two-game statement prior to the immortal Burnley (h)? The board and Worthington had been playing chicken for a year; we ran out of cashflow altogether in January 2006 (which was why we sold Ashton prior to the West Ham Cup game), so we couldn't afford to sack him.

If we've now got ourselves back into that position again immediately following relegation... for once, words fail me.
